LET’S EAT

We’ve forgotten how to sit together. How to eat without screens. How to have conversations that matter with people we don’t know yet. Food Elementals Dinner Club is an invitation to remember.

We’re gathering a group of people around a table. Real tables. Real food. Real conversation. We’re exploring Fire – not just as the element that cooks our food, but as the force that moves through our bodies, ignites our digestion and sparks our connection.

This is the first of a series of experiential dinners exploring nourishment through the natural elements. Four events, each focusing on Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Using carefully chosen ingredients and a consciously curated, bespoke menu, prepare to be immersed in an embodied dining event that seeks to change the way you think about food and leaves a lasting impression on your tongue. We begin with fire.

WHY FIRE?

Fire is transformation. It’s the digestive force in your belly. It’s the spark between people. It’s the passion that lives within you. When we gather around food that carries fire qualities, something in us remembers how to come alive.

WHY THE ELEMENTS?

Both hosts hold nature in high regard, and it is interwoven into everything they live. By closely inquiring about each element and understanding how foods (and ourselves) are related, we can come to a deeper understanding of our bodies and the natural world around us. Practising this kind of connection will reflect positively on our lives.

Food Elementals is created by Leila and Eddie, both with many years of experience combined in creating menus, supper clubs, private catering events and retreats. Together, they know how to create special tastes and experiences that go deeper than your average meal.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS:

Eddie and Leila first met through mutual friends at a day retreat in London that Eddie was facilitating in 2019. Since then, they’ve been cooking together, rope flowing and connecting through movement, and generally vibing with their little crew.

Eddie grew up in a home where cooking and gathering were inseparable. Both parents cooked from fresh ingredients, and hosting dinner parties was a constant. That foundation shaped how Eddie approached food and hospitality. In his early thirties, he started hosting intimate dinner clubs around his mum’s kitchen table. The demand grew quickly, moving into restaurants where the supper clubs thrived. Eddie then expanded into cooking for wellness retreats, corporate events, weddings, and private celebrations, eventually opening his own cafe in London before relocating to the south coast.

Through running these events and experiences, Eddie learned what actually brings people together. It’s not just the food. It’s the intentional creation of space where people can step outside their usual environment, try something different, and have genuine conversations with others. That’s the core of everything he’s built.

Leila’s love for rich flavours and shared eating stems from her Persian roots and her Taurus moon craving for above-average food. After many years of a distorted relationship with eating, she began a healing journey by going plant-based and creating more consciousness around nourishment. During a job managing a vegan cafe in 2018, her creativity started to thrive as she learned how to work with flavours and ingredients in a whole new way.

Over the past 6 years, Leila has broken a decade of veganism to explore food embodiment and intuitive eating, as well as cultivating the art of community through food by catering and running the kitchen on retreats. Leila has also taught courses on healing the relationship with food and the body, wrote a recipe book, all alongside her other passions and service work supporting people in emotional mastery, somatic trauma resolution and embodiment.

Together, they are launching this dinner club series to create a thoughtfully curated, genuinely connected experience, built on the foundation of real hospitality and damn good food.

WHAT HAPPENS

You arrive at 7 pm. There’s a drink, some nibbles to wake your palate, and time to settle in. Then we sit, all of us at long tables, and eat. Three courses, each one alive with the energy of fire. Between bites, you’ll talk to the people around you. There’s music underneath it all. There’s space for real conversation to unfold. There’s the simple, rare act of sitting with people and sharing a meal. We pause between courses. A few words about fire – what it means, how it moves through you, how the foods on your plate carry it. Then back to eating, talking, connecting.

This will be held at The Cornerstone Community Church and Centre in Hove, Brighton & Hove, with limited capacity. The menu will include meat and dairy; you may request a vegan option at checkout if needed. You can also contact us to ask any questions about dietary requirements. Fancy joining us? It’ll be an unforgettable evening. Use the link to book tickets below, and we will see you there!
